About Dr.Mahendra Kadam
Dr. Mahendra Kadam is an eminent scholar, creative writer, critic & a linguist. At Present, he is a Principal of Vitthalrao Shinde Arts College, Tembhurni. He was confirred the degree of Ph.D. by Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 1999. He has Taught graduate and post-graduate classes in Marathi in various institutions and universities. He is a recognized Researh guide of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur and Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik. Fourteen researchers have successfully completed their Ph.D and M.Phil degrees under his able guidance.
He has worked on several crucial decision-making bodies of the Govt. of Maharashtra, Sahitya Academi and various Universities. He has worked as an Acting Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur from May 2018 to Nov. 2019. Now he is working as a member of Academic Council of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur. He has successfully completed a Minor Research Project on Stylistics, which is funded by UGC, New Delhi. Now his Major Research Project on Oreantalism and Ancient History of India, is going on, which is funded by Sahitya Sanskruti Mandal, Govt. of Maharashtra. His research areas of interest are Linguistics, Marathi Novel, Marathi Criticism etc. He has written eleven books. Some of them are prescribed as reference books for UG & PG syllabus of Marathi in various Universities of Maharashtra. His two chapters of Marathi novel “Aagal” has included in10th std. Marathi book of State Board of Maharashtra & is prescribed for B.Com.II Marathi of Sant Gadage Baba Amarawati University. His renowned novel “Aagal” is prescribed for M.A. II Marathi syllabus at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore (M.P.). His articles, research papers, poems & stories are published at State and National level in various journals & periodicals.
He gave a lot of lectures on current issues in society. Due to his magnificent deed in Society, he is honored by prestigious 19 Awards and Rewards of the government and reputed institutes. At present, he is working as a member of various bodies of govt. of Maharashatra as like Marathi Paribhasha Kosh & Marathi Rangbhumi Parinirikshan Mandal of govt. of Maharashatra. He is now trying his best to maintain and enhance the quality of higher education.
